Poly Traditions



Late spring is one of my favorite times of year at Poly. While the campus is always bustling with activity, there is an excitement this time of year that is palpable. On Tuesday, some of Poly's best and brightest were inducted into Oasis Society. One of the oldest groups at Poly, the student organization pre-dates this campus and is a shining example of one of the school's greatest strengths—Poly honors tradition.

MS Presents Seussical May 11-12


Middle School students will dance and sing their way through the world of Dr. Seuss next weekend with the presentation of the musical Seussical. Dozens of talented seventh and eighth graders will perform the show May 11 at 7:30 PM and May 12 at 3:00 PM.

LS Open School Night May 3


All Lower School parents are encouraged to attend Open School Night tomorrow, May 3, with their children. The Lower School will close at noon as teachers prepare their classrooms for the big event, which will take place 6:00-8:00 PM at the Mansion and the West Wing.

Spring Arts Festival Celebrates Students' Visual Art and Music


Music and visual arts took center stage on Thursday at Poly's Upper School Spring Arts Festival. Student artwork filled the halls and library, and various instrumental and vocal groups performed in their spring concert.

Authors Buckley and Leacock Visit Middle School


Middle School students got a unique glimpse into how authors work with illustrators to re-create visual depictions of history when writers Susan Buckley and Elspeth Leacock visited on April 27.

Faculty Spotlight: Jean Fahy, Lower School Nurse


Q: What interests Lower School students most concerning health and wellness?
A: They're always asking questions about something. What does a germ look like? How do I get them in my body? The kids are pretty open-minded, not scared to ask about these things.
