Poly's new fundraiser and friendraiser, Party Book, launched in 2018. All parties took place between February and June 2019. We hope you had a chance to attend a Party Book party.

Starting in September 2019, families can sign up to host a party in 2020. Until then, please take a look at the 2018-19 Party Book for ideas and inspiration.

Party Book is an exciting array of fabulous parties created by our Poly community for our community — hosts donate parties and guests purchase tickets to attend. It’s a great way to come together to laugh, learn, mingle, meet new friends, have fun, and support Poly!

"I think this Party Book concept has really brought this community together!
Everyone had a blast!" — Michael Correra '87

In September we will encourage families to participate by hosting parties of all sizes such as a crazy game night, an evening at Barclays Center, a dinner with the deans, a cooking class, wine tastings, a Soul Cycle session, a kids’ baseball game with one of the coaches…the ideas are endless. Please check out a list of some suggestions below.

Party Book FAQs

List of 6 items.

  • I have a party idea and want to host a party. Where do I start?

It's easy! If you wish to discuss your idea, please contact one of the chairs. Here are the criteria:
    • The party should have a set date and time.
    • The party should take place between February 1, 2019 and June 9, 2019.
    • Don't worry about pricing it—we'll take care of that. The parties will all cost between $25 to $500 per ticket. If you have a suggested price, we welcome your suggestion.
When you’re ready to begin, please register and complete the "Wanna Host a Party" form.
  • Who hosts the parties?

You do! Or you can sponsor a party hosted by a teacher. We are tapping into the Poly community to come up with ideas and host parties or be the sponsor of a party hosted by a teacher. Below are some ideas to get you started or come up with your own idea. You can begin planning and submitting a party idea starting on September 17, 2018.
  • Do I have to host a party alone?

Not at all. If you’d like, you can get together with friends to host or sponsor a party.
  • Who goes to the parties?

You do! In January we will open the book for you to sign up for and purchase tickets for the parties you want to attend. Each party includes about four to 100 people and will cost about $25 to $500 per ticket depending on the party. You don't have to buy out the whole party. You just buy as many tickets as you want.
  • Does a Party Book donation count as my gift to Annual Giving?

No. Annual Giving is Poly’s #1 priority for fundraising. As with all independent schools, we rely on these essential gifts to support the school’s greatest needs throughout the year.
  • Have questions?

Please contact one of the Party Book chairs:
