How to Apply for Tuition Assistance

Being able to assist with tuition costs is critical to Poly Prep’s mission, providing access to families who would not otherwise be able to attend.

Tuition Assistance Makes a Poly Prep Education Possible

Our tuition assistance program is designed to make a Poly Prep education possible for all families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. For the 2025-2026 academic year, over 22% of the students share in more than $14,500,000 in financial aid.

We use the CLARITY Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

Qualifying for Tuition Assistance

In a typical year, we are able to offer tuition assistance to a percentage of families who qualify for aid, though we receive significantly more requests than we are able to fulfill.  Our financial aid awards are only based on need; we do not offer merit scholarships based on academic or athletic achievement. Families applying to ALL grades may submit a separate application for financial assistance through CLARITY Application. 

How to Apply for Tuition Assistance

Step 1: Start the CLARITY Application

The CLARITY platform is secure, easy to use, and mobile-friendly. It automatically retrieves your tax documents, so there is no need to upload them manually. You can create an account and access the application directly at CLARITY.

• The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Clarity has provided a step-by-step guide to assist families with the application.
• You are able to save your progress and return at any time.

Step 2: Review & Submit Your Application

Once your information is complete, submit your application. Please note that Poly does not provide application fee waivers. CLARITY automatically determines fee waiver eligibility based on the information provided.

Step 3: Review & Tuition Assistance Award

The Financial Aid Committee reviews each completed application, in the context of admissions decisions. Every award is unique, reflecting each family’s circumstances.

Step 4: Notification

Families receive their tuition assistance award at the same time as their admissions decision. Poly Prep follows ISAGNY notification dates.

If you need support during the process of completing your application, there is in-app support available as well as email support at [email protected] in both English and Spanish. The application itself is also fully translated into Spanish.

Tuition Assistance Application and Deadlines

Financial Aid application materials for the 2026-2027 academic year will be available on September 2, 2025 in CLARITY.

• NEW FAMILIES: December 15, 2025
• RETURNING POLY FAMILIES: November 3, 2025

Submitting your financial aid application by the deadline is required for consideration. Applications submitted after the deadline may not be eligible for tuition assistance.
