This year Poly Prep is engaged in a school-wide focus on Social & Emotional Learning (SEL). Please join consultants from The Institute for Social and Emotional Learning on February 20 for an interactive and informative parent workshop.
The workshop will outline a framework for understanding the social and emotional development of adolescents and introduce some of the skills that Poly Prep Middle School students have been learning. You will hear about compelling research that highlights the importance of SEL to support student development, academic success, sense of belonging, health, and well-being.
Parents will learn creative ways to bring these SEL tools home and explore how a certain kind of listening can help adolescents strengthen emotional intelligence and develop independent and cooperative problem-solving skills. RSVP now.
