Poly is proud to announce our third and final visiting writer for this year’s Poly Poetics and ProseReading Series. On Wednesday, April 17, award-winning author Eileen Myles will be offering both an afternoon and evening reading followed by a Q&A. Our afternoon event will take place from 3:15-4:15 PM in the Joseph Dana Allen Library. We encourage all students and faculty to attend.
Our evening event will begin at 7 PM in the same location. All members of the Poly community are invited to the evening reading and discussion. An RSVP is required.
Eileen Myles is the author of more than 20 books, including Evolution, Afterglow (a dog memoir), Chelsea Girls, and I Must Be Living Twice: New & Selected Poems 1974-2014. Myles’ many honors include four Lambda Literary Awards for contributions to the LGBT literary community, the Clark Prize for Excellence in Arts Writing, the Shelley Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America, Creative Capital’s Literature Award, as well as their Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant, and a Foundation for Contemporary Arts grant.
