Alumni Association

We, the duly elected members of the Alumni Board actively encourage participation in the Poly community through our work and our financial support. We are dedicated to enhancing the strong bonds and good will alumni feel for Poly by establishing programs that enable alumni to support and remain a part of the Poly community.

We implement our mission through four distinct working committees, each with a separate charge to achieve a particular objective. These committees include:
The Networking Committee encourages alumni to connect with each other via social media and organized events. Members invite alumni to share their success and professional experience with younger alumni and with current students so that meaningful mentor relationships form.

The Fundraising Committee spearheads the effort to increase alumni participation in the Annual Giving Campaign. Members work in conjunction with the Advancement Office to solicit donations through individual asks, phone-a-thons, alumni receptions and planned fundraising events throughout the academic year.

The Communications Committee keeps alumni engaged and informed by circulating school and alumni news and upcoming events. Members also work closely with our Alumni Class Agents and helps them to do the same with their classmates.

The Nominating Committee recruits alumni to join the Board of Governors and presents the Board with potential candidates for review. Members also identify eligible recipients for the Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award and the Spirit Award.

Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award

Since 1983, the Poly Prep Alumni Association has presented Alumni Awards to graduates who have distinguished themselves in one of three categories: distinguished achievements in their respective fields, service to Poly, and support of our Alma Mater. Eligibility for consideration begins after the twenty-fifth year of graduation from Poly.

The Alumni Awards given each year on Special Reunion Day are the most prestigious of all awards conferred by the Alumni Association. Nominations made by alumni, faculty, and friends of Poly are reviewed by the Distinguished Achievement Awards Committee.  A list of the final nominees is shared with the Alumni Board of Governors for consideration and vote.
The award is presented by the Board of Governors during Convocation to alumni who embody the inspirational qualities to lead, succeed, and serve their community.

Congratulations to all the recipients of the Alumni Association Award for Distinguished Achievement:
