The annual 5th grade academic interdisciplinary Journeys to Freedom event will take place on Friday, February 15 from 10:30-11:30 AM. In history class, over the course of the last six weeks students have researched 58 individuals involved in the abolitionist movement. Through their research, they examined primary sources, created display boards and gave speeches detailing how their abolitionist worked to change and better our country. Students will be sharing their knowledge with parents and guests. Student work from science, math, English, and health classes will also be on display. The event will end with a celebratory breakfast.
