Poly Prep Parents’ Association Upcoming December Events:
Save the Date - Remaining P.I.A. Meetings:
Please join your fellow parents for a Parent Talk facilitated by NYC-Parents in Action (P.I.A.
), an independent, not-for-profit organization that, since 1980, has encouraged communication between parents and children and among parents.
A Parent Talk is an opportunity for you to connect with other parents in your child's grade and discuss common concerns. Your meeting will be spent discussing topics important to and generated by the parents at the meeting. For Upper School parents, frequently discussed subjects include communication, online activity, dating, curfews, parties, social independence, drugs, and alcohol. Parents in Action facilitators will be there to ensure the conversation takes place in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Please note your child's grade date and time. All meetings will take place at the Dyker Heights campus. You will be receiving an invite under separate cover from your grade rep.:
Grade 10: December 4 in Joseph Dana Allen Library
Grade 11: December 5 in Gazzani Conference Room
