January 7-11: Spirit Week
The week leading up to Oasis Night when students are encouraged to dress up and engage with their community, as well as display their Poly Pride! The themes for Middle School Spirit Week are: Monday: Pajama Day; Tuesday: Mismatch Day; Wednesday: Decades Day; Thursday: Crazy Hat Day; and Friday: Poly Blue & Gray Day. Stay tuned for Upper School themes.
January 10: Parent Drop In Coffee, 8:30-9:30 AM, Gazzini Terrace, Dyker Heights
Guest Speaker will be Brian Filiatrout, Poly's Director of Sustainability. Drop in to connect with other parents and learn more about Poly Prep’s sustainability efforts.
January 11: Oasis Night. The culmination of Spirit Week!
Oasis Night brings together students, faculty, and alumi for an evening of Varsity Boys' and Girls' Squash and Basketball
vs. Horace Mann School and good food. Oasis Society, Poly’s oldest honor society, “recognizes leadership and accomplishment that benefit our school, aiming to promote school spirit and service to the school community.” Parents and students are welcome!
January 15: Grade 12 Parent Night: Helping Your Child Transition to College, 7-9 PM, Dyker Heights.
Our guest speaker, Melissa Wacks, will speak to parents about transitioning to college—what we can expect and what we can do to help prepare our kids and ourselves for this significant event. Let us know if you can make it by filling out this form
