Kindergarten Is Sponsoring a Food Drive to Benefit City Harvest and CHIPS

Our Kindergarten students, as part of their fairness and justice curriculum, are organizing a food drive in partnership with City Harvest, an organization that collects and delivers food. We also will be partnering with CHIPS, a soup kitchen and women’s shelter in Park Slope that serves the local community.

This year, the food drive will run from Tuesday, January 22 through Friday, February 1. We ask that families donate the following items in the boxes located in the Lower School vestibule.
  • canned fruit
  • canned vegetables
  • proteins (i.e., tuna or beans)
  • peanut butter (in plastic jars)
  • macaroni and cheese (packaged)
  • hot and cold cereal (packaged, family-size)
  • soups
  • juice packs
  • paper towels
  • cleaning wipes
  • toilet paper

Thank you for your support and generosity!
