Recycle Tired Textiles in the Green Tree Bin at Lower School Throughout April
Do you have old clothing, shoes, or sheets that have seen a better day? Bring them to the Lower School throughout April where you can drop them off in the Green Tree Textile Recycling bin that will be there for that purpose. This is another initiative by Poly's Sustainability Office to celebrate Earth Month.
Below is a list of items to donate:
Clothing such as pants, shorts, hoodies, and shirts
Shoes such as sneakers, sandals, and boots
Household linens such as sheets, pillowcases, and towels
Accessories such as book bags, belts, and hats
According to the Green Tree Textile Recycling website, "Green Tree was founded to recycle unwanted textiles material including clothing, shoes, accessories and household linens that would otherwise end up in our already overburdened landfills. Our recycling services support people, who are in disadvantage and those in transition. Green Tree strives to preserve the environment by repurposing clothing and textiles for re-use by environmentally minded manufacturers and designers."
