Join Jill Sigman '85 in "The Living Room" on the Oval

Sigman Will be Completing her Artist Residency with Discussions and a Performance

The Living Room is a site-specific structure and gathering place being built on the Oval by artist and alum Jill Sigman ’85 during her artist residency. The structure is created out of detritus from Poly’s grounds and facilities, including yard waste, palettes, cafeteria cans, and the uninvited plants we call “weeds.” Simultaneously a sculpture, mini-stage, temporary classroom, social space, and garden for weedy edibles, The Living Room continues Sigman’s ongoing work with temporary structures, spontaneous urban plants, and relationship as performance, and supports Poly’s goals to build community through art and increase environmental awareness.
