Bart Moroney P’21 has been teaching science at Poly since 1981. He started out in the Middle School and now primarily teaches chemistry in the Upper School. He has taught every level from Grades 7 to 12. He also was the head track coach from 1981 until 2005 and still helps out with the track and field program. He has a bachelor’s from the University of Pennsylvania, where he ran track and set school records in the high jump and mile relay. He won the Spirit Award in 1999. He has a master’s from the University of West Virginia, where he served as an assistant track coach. His wife, Sabina Laricchia, teaches Middle School math at Poly, and his son Bart has attended Poly since Kindergarten and is a member of the Class of 2021.
