Grades 7 and 8 are considered non-entry years at Poly, although the class size does grow by a few students in both grades. The Admissions Committee reviews applications for interviews on a rolling basis up until the preliminary application deadline.
- PRELIMINARY APPLICATION
- Our application opens on September 2, 2025 and includes the following:
- Application form with background information
- 2024-2025 Final Report Card
- Parent/guardian short answer questions: families are asked to complete the ISAAGNY Parent Statement Form
- Student common essay: students will be required to respond to several chosen prompts in short essays that will be shared with other schools utilizing the same form
- Student interests and activities form: students should share their extracurricular interests, activities, and hobbies in a common form that will be shared with other schools utilizing the same form
- Changing schools essay: students who are applying from another school are asked to reflect on their decision to make a change. This short essay helps us better understand the reasons behind their interest in transitioning to a new school at this stage in their academic journey

- STUDENT AND FAMILY IN-PERSON INTERVIEW
- Interviews are based on space availability and are by invitation. The Poly Prep Admissions Office will be in touch with families throughout the fall and early winter to extend invitations to interview. The interview format will be a one-on-one, in-person interview with a member of the admissions committee and will include a short writing assessment.
- FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION
- Families who would like to apply for financial aid must submit an application in Clarity.
- Deadline: December 15, 2025
- ISEE or SSAT
- Testing is required for admission into all Middle School grades this year. Poly will superscore multiple test score submissions. Families are welcome to submit scores for either the SSAT or ISEE, and Poly does not have a preference for either test. Students must take the test with enough time for Poly to receive the results by the deadline.

- TEACHER RECOMMENDATIONS
- Poly Prep requires Math and English teacher recommendations. We strongly recommend that you request the recommendations after October 15 to give the teacher enough time to get to know your child and complete the form before it is due.

- Download the Transcript Request Form in Ravenna and print or email it to the records office at your child’s current school after December 1.

- FALL REPORT CARD
- Upload your child’s fall progress report from the first trimester or semester of the 2025-2026 school year. Please contact our office if your child will not receive a report card by this date.
