Annual Giving is Poly’s fundraising priority that begins in September each year and ends on June 30, the conclusion of our fiscal year. Annual Giving is essential. Tuition and other income alone do not fully cover the cost of a Poly education. Annual Giving supports everything that makes Poly a vibrant, exciting, and productive place to be. It also allows us to make your child’s school experience even better.

ACADEMICS
Poly Prep is committed to the pursuit of excellence in all we do by seeking to “always reach beyond our grasp,” to explore our individual and collective potential.
Annual Giving provides classroom assets, technology, and opportunities to all students.
ARTS
Annual Giving funds our acclaimed arts programs, allowing students to engage deeply with the joys and challenges of the artistic process whether on performing on stage, on the debate floor, or in the visual arts studios.
Instruments, art supplies, stagecraft, and more are provided to our talented students thanks to the generosity of our donors.
ATHLETICS
Annual Giving fuels our highly competitive athletic teams and provide students exceptional opportunities to grow physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Thanks to the dedication of our donors, we are able to provide uniforms and equipment, game travel, as well as facility maintenance for our world class athletics program.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING

Who contributes to Annual Giving?
Annual Giving receives support from the entire Poly community—parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, friends, foundations, and matching gifts companies.

How much do I need to contribute to be a member of the Tower Society?
Families who give $3,500 or more are invited to the Tower Society Reception with the Head of School. Donors at the $10,000 level and above are invited to a special Leadership Reception.

Why do I need to contribute to Annual Giving? Isn’t tuition enough?
Tuition represents 89.7% of the school’s income. Annual Giving provides some of the funding needed beyond tuition for the exceptional people and programs that define Poly’s outstanding educational experience. Like all independent schools, Poly relies on the generosity of its community to fully fund the operating costs of the school.

Does my gift to Annual Giving support financial aid?
Yes! Annual Giving supports the school’s operating budget, of which $12 million is allocated for financial aid this year. The school could not offer this level of assistance without Annual Giving.

Why is participation so important?
We are dependent on the support of the entire Poly community to reach our goal. The involvement of every family demonstrates a belief in Poly’s mission and dedication to the success of the school. This tradition of philanthropic giving by generations of parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends has helped maintain Poly’s high standards and kept it financially sound.

Are gifts to Annual Giving tax deductible?
Poly is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization under the Federal IRS code. All contributions to Annual Giving are tax deductible.

How much should I give?
We hope every family will make Poly a philanthropic priority and contribute as generously as possible. Annual Giving gifts range from $5 to $50,000 and above. Every gift brings us closer to our goal.

When can I make my gift?
Giving early in the school year allows Poly to put the contributions to immediate use. Please consider making your gift to Annual Giving today.

I receive financial aid. Why give money back to the school?
We hope every member of the Poly community will participate in Annual Giving, including families receiving financial aid. Your gift—regardless of size—tells Poly that you are a proud member of the community who supports the school’s mission and the Poly experience.
