Tours and Events

Thank you for your interest in Poly Prep.

Each admissions season, we look forward to opening our doors to families who are beginning to imagine what school might feel like for their child. There is something powerful about stepping onto campus, meeting our students and faculty, and experiencing the energy of the Poly community.

The application for the 2027-2028 school year opens on September 8, 2026, and throughout the fall we offer a range of opportunities to experience Poly Prep in person and online.

This includes campus and facility tours of our Middle and Upper School in Dyker Heights, as well as Lower School open houses. These visits are designed to give families a genuine sense of our classrooms, our community, and the everyday life of our school.

While visiting is not required as part of the application process, we encourage families to join us if they are able. Often, it is in these moments that families begin to see whether Poly feels like the right place for them.

Event registration will open on September 8, 2026. You will need a Ravenna account to register for our on-campus events and tours.

Lower School

We invite families applying to Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten to join one of our morning Open Houses for a detailed information session and current parent-led tour of our Lower School building to see our students and faculty in action. Please note that the Open House is the only opportunity we offer to tour the Lower School for families applying to these grades.

We will also host two virtual events for families applying to Nursery – Grade 4 to learn more about our Lower School:

• Virtual Information Session on Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Inside Lower Poly: A Virtual Family Conversation on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Middle School

We invite families applying to Grades 5-6 to join our Grades 5-6 Open House on Saturday, October 3, from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM with an optional tour of our facilities afterward.

Families applying to Grades 5-6 are also invited to tour our Dyker Heights campus while school is in session:

We invite families applying to Grades 5-8 to join our Middle School Virtual Information Session on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.

Please note that the Open House and group tours are the only opportunities we offer for Grades 5-6 applicants to tour the school. Students who are invited to interview for Grades 7-8 will tour campus during their interview appointment.

Upper School

We invite applicant families to attend our Grade 9 Open House on our Dyker Heights campus on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM for a detailed information session and the chance to connect with our faculty and students. While the event will take place across several campus spaces, it will not include a formal tour. All applicants will receive a student-led tour during their interview visit.

We invite families applying to Grades 9-12 to join our Upper School Virtual Information Session on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM.

Join Poly Prep at the Parents League Middle and High School Virtual Fair on Thursday, September 17 at 10:40 AM. Register for our session.

LGTBQ+ Families Connect: The Independent School Experience
Stop by Poly’s table at the LGBTQ+ Families Informational Fair and Panel on Wednesday, October 7 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM. The fair will take place at Brooklyn Heights Montessori School, located at 9 Bergen Street, Brooklyn NY, 11201. RSVP to Brooklyn Heights Montessori School.
