“Not only is it a gift to witness students at their unique ages of discovery, but to also foster moments and experiences of exploration alongside growing minds and talented individuals. This is what makes a classroom and subsequently education, infinite.”
Bria Jourdain joined Poly Prep’s Lower School as an Associate Teacher in 2025. Prior to this, Jourdain supported Poly’s Kindergarten team as a Classroom Assistant for two years, thoughtfully learning from faculty and students. She completed her undergraduate studies at Trinity College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. Jourdain has found herself in education in a roundabout way, garnering experiences from babysitting, her time interning at Hartford Neighborhood Center in 2019, and challenging herself to a new adventure as a camp counselor at Farm and Wilderness’s Barn Day Camp in the summer of 2024. Her passion for education and learning stems from her mother, a public elementary school teacher for over 25 years. Jourdain is inspired to follow a similar path, bringing meaningful change and discovery for all students. She is proudly from Brooklyn, New York, and happily serves the community in which they were raised. The most rewarding part of teaching for Jourdain is seeing students spirited by their sense of self and collaborating with amazing individuals. In their free time, Jourdain enjoys writing, singing, and appreciating all that there is in a singular moment.
