Christina Fontanarosa joined Poly’s Lower School faculty as a Classroom Assistant in 2024 and became an Associate Teacher the following year. Christina is a native Texan with Minnesotan roots. Christina holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Spelman College and M.Ed from NYU in Applied Psychology. Her certifications include Birth to 2 in Early Childhood and School Counseling. Christina is also dedicated to wellness and is certified in Yoga, RYT 200. She has received acknowledgement as an awardee from the Dance Education Lab of 92NY for her dance/yoga studies with children in 2023. Christina is also a Certified Big Apple Teacher Finalist. She has taught in independent, charter, public schools, and higher ed.
Along with teaching, Christina enjoys being a homemaker, traveling, holistic health activities, brunch with friends, gardening, and spending time with family.
