Diahann Billings-Burford ’90, P’20 named one of Sports Illustrated 100 Influential Black Women in Sports.

Baseball Player of the Year

Alumnus Chris Cannizzaro ’18 named 2022 Patriot League Baseball Preseason Player of the Year.

Esther M. Terry Award

Dr. Alex Carter receives the Esther M. Terry Award for the most distinguished doctoral dissertation produced in Afro-American Studies from University of Massachusetts – Amherst.

2022 Ivy League and NYSAIS Champions

Baseball, Boys’ Basketball, and Softball took home the top prizes–Ivy League and NYSAIS championships. Wrestling took the Ivy League title.

Tony-Nominated Broadway play

Alumna Alyssa May Gold ’08 was a cast member in the Tony-nominated Broadway play How I Learned to Drive.

#2 in NY State

Grade 4 placed 2nd in New York State in the Continental Math League competition.

Young Musicians at Carnegie Hall

Four Lower School students were selected to perform at Carnegie Hall through the Carnegie Hall Link-Up program.

National History Day Champs

History Club students excel! In the NYC Regionals, Marisa Triola ’24 earned first place for her website and June Dorsch ’23 earned second place for her paper.

Huge congratulations to June for her first place finish in the NY State History Day competition and for advancing to the national competition! And congratulations as well to Marisa for advancing to the state competition!

Upper School’s Concert Choir performed at Carnegie Hall where Jasmine Donald ’24 was selected as featured soloist.

National Yearbook Award

Polyglot staff receives Bronze level award in Jostens 2021-22 National Yearbook Program of Excellence program recognized for dynamic and engaging yearbook.

Student Composer Excels

Composer Jordan Millar ’24 was selected for Intersection Music’s LISTEN project. Jordan was commissioned to write an original, solo work for the flute.

Jordan was also selected for the New York Youth Symphony’s Music Composition and Musical Theater Composition programs this year. Her piece “vidia” was performed by the Amoroso Quartet.
