“If students are to develop coping skills, they must not only be able to identify and accept their feelings. They must also be able to reflect upon the challenges they face and the ways in which they attempt to manage their feelings.”

Anais Kingsberry joined Poly as Upper School Counselor in 2021. Anais received her bachelor’s degree from Brown University. After earning her master’s in school psychology, she began work as parent coordinator at an alternative high school in 2017. In 2018, she began serving as school psychologist at a Success Academy charter school. While at Success, she received two network awards for her contribution to the school community: the 2021 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award and the 2020 ETHOS (Excellence, Teamwork, Humor, Ownership and Scholars) Award. Anais entered the field of school psychology to help foster resilience in youth by addressing challenges impacting their learning, well-being, and growth. When not supporting students in her role as counselor, she enjoys writing, visiting museums and art galleries, and roller skating.
