After graduating from Brooklyn College with a bachelor’s in computer science, Charles Polizano P’18 joined Poly Prep in 2005 as a technical support associate. Over the years, he grew through roles in network administration, computer science faculty and department as well as technology leadership—earning his master’s in instructional technology from St. Joseph’s University along the way. Charles was instrumental in the design of Poly’s Makerspace, where students are encouraged to explore, create, and collaborate. In 2020, he and his team developed Virtual Poly which expanded and enhanced outdoor learning for students and teachers during the global pandemic. In 2026, he became Poly’s Chief Information and Technology Officer.
