Kally joined Poly in 2021 and became an Associate Teacher in 2022. She received her BA from New York University and then her MA from a joint program at Parsons School of Design and the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. She worked in various roles in the arts before she became certified to teach yoga to children and adults. Teaching yoga led her into the classroom where she discovered a deepened appreciation for the mind-body connection and its role and value in classroom learning. “The honesty and feedback a student gives you is invaluable, “ she said. “The teacher-student relationship is very special to me because both individuals are learning and growing together, influencing each other’s experiences and grounding each other in common adventures.” Kally lives in Brooklyn with her family and enjoys exploring with them, in addition to cooking, practicing yoga, and traveling.
