A native New Yorker, Malory Hom came to Poly Prep in 2021 as a Lower School Learning Specialist. Prior to joining Poly, she earned her B.A. in Childhood Education and taught for 11 years in the New York City independent school community. During that time, she earned master’s degrees in Childhood Literacy at CUNY Hunter and Developmental Disabilities at Columbia University. At Poly, she works with students in Grades 3 and 4 by providing literacy and math support and enrichment. Her goal is to help create confident and passionate readers and mathematicians. When she is not teaching, Malory enjoys traveling, reading, and finding new recipes to try out.
