Tara Heatley joined Poly Prep in 2022 as Girls’ Soccer Head Coach. Former head coach of the women’s soccer team at Pratt Institute, Heatley coached their 2021-22 team to the most wins Pratt has had since the program’s inception in 2016. Heatley also coaches at the Girls Academy program at Downtown United Soccer Club (DUSC) where she is Head Coach of 06/05 High School team, along with assisting with the DUSC Women’s team. Prior to her professional coaching roles, Heatley was a four-year member of the Division 1 soccer program at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU). During her time there, she helped the team deliver 46 wins over four years including 16 in one year – a program record. Heatley earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from FDU in 2018. In 2023, she expanded her role as a physical education teacher.
