Timothy Shea joined Poly’s Upper School as a history teacher in 2017. A Vassar grad, Tim was studying for his Ph.D. when he came to Poly. Tim grew up in Connecticut, where he taught at a boarding school. Tim’s field of study is Cold War Southeast Asia, and he studied in Hanoi. He enjoys the collegiality of his history colleagues and hearing Poly’s string ensembles, as he has been playing the violin himself since the age of four.
